Meanwhile, Saturday afternoon’s Evo-Stik South Division One Central trip Didcot Town was postponed.

A statement on the Didcot website said: “The game at home to Bedford has been called off for health and safety reasons.

“Following a gas leak which has cut-off our supply at the football club, there is no hot water or heating which has led to the game being postponed for health and safety reasons.”

Eagles will hope for better luck this weekend when they head to Isthmian League South Central Division side Chipstead for their Buildbase FA Trophy second round clash.
