Khalsa Football Academy student Dominik Topolsky is looking to make his mark in France after signing for Ligue 1 giants Olympique de Marseille.
Dominik is a creative player that can play as a centre-back, box to box midfielder or holding midfielder. He captained KFA to victory in the 2013 UEFA Young Champions Final and has an unbeaten record with KFA, having never lost a game in four years.
Dominik joined the Khalsa Football Academy seven years ago and is part of the Striving For Unity equality initiative.
Originally from Slovakia, Dominik couldn’t speak any English when he joined the KFA elite programme, but he now attends regular community Futsal sessions at KFA as well as the KFA Futsal elite skills class led by Bal Singh.
Speaking about Dominik, Singh said: “Dom is an excellent example that there is no substitute for hard work.
“Dom has settled very well in France – he is quickly learning about the French culture and learning the language.
“In my opinion it was vital Dom moved to France and experienced another culture as he now has another platform to build on his technical strengths.
Dominik added: “My experience told me that I can play anywhere, though a great effort. Doing the best and concentrate on training is important, however I will still be developing my skills. This belief pushes me further.”
“I am delighted that I am with OM - I am glad that I represent this club and I want to stay there long time.”
