The Bedfordshire County Football League side made an early exit from this seasons FA Inter-League Cup when beaten 7-1 by a strong Yorkshire Amateur League outfit, ahead via a strike from Ben Charlesworth in the 9th minute and doubling their lead with a Charlesworth header in the 27th minute, the tie was all over by half-time as further strikes from Steven Tierney in the 37th minute and Matthew Jackson three minutes from the break saw them take a 4-0 lead.

However, the visitors had to wait until the 72nd minute before James Greenwood brought up the nap hand which was followed by goals for James Allen on 74 minutes and Matthew Jackson on 86 minutes before Pavenham’s James Owen netted the lone home reply right on the final whistle.

Division One

Goldington remain 100% for the season and four points clear at the head of the division one table after running out 2-0 winners at Woburn Lions. Brian Day and Chris Huckle netting the vital goals.

Still in second spot are Sandy who ended Luton Boys Seniors five game unbeaten run with a 4-2 home victory over them. Liam Brophy with a brace plus strikes from Jonnie Stratford and Adam Grimshaw only replied to by a brace from Joel Clark.

Now in third spot are Sundon Park Rangers who jumped above Woburn Lions after they maintained their 100% home record for the season with a 5-2 victory over Henlow. Matt Conway leading the way with a hat-trick which was supported by goals from Sam Kehinde and Kane Griffith against Henlow replies via Jo Spencer from the penalty spot and Andy Newton.

However, the top scorers of the day were Marabese Ceramics who are now unbeaten in their last four starts following their 8-1 home win over bottom of the table Caldecote Reserves. John Voought netting five times, Giuseppe Di Angelo twice and Marcello Marabese once against a lone reply from Hugh Jackson.

For Bedford Sports Athletic it was a third win on the bounce to move them up into the top half of the table after a goal from Ashley Mead just five minutes from time gave them a 1-0 home win over Elstow Abbey. Whilst AFC Turvey lost their seasons 100% home record when held to a 2-2 draw by Eastcotts AFC. An own goal and Courtney Boughton marking their teamsheet against replies from Michael Sexton and Tony Milioti.

Elsewhere after two straight defeats Brickhill Tigers returned to winning ways with a 4-3 home win over Bromham United. Ashley Deverell with a brace plus Robbie Graziano and Giuseppe Graziano seeing their goals replied to by a brace from Ben Robinson and Phill Kempshall.

Division Two

Queens Park Crescents remain two points clear at the head of the division two league table and 100% for the season following their 3-1 home victory over AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves. Shah Rahman, Cameron Browne and Shezad Satter netting the goals against a Town reply from Roger Goff.

For second place Potton Town it was a retention of their seasons unbeaten ways with a 2-1 win at AFC Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves.James Day and Chris Moore on the Town scoresheet against a home reply from Matt Barnes.

With Potton United Reserves sitting the afternoon out, Clifton failed to climb above them in the league standings when held to a 2-2 home draw by Great Barford who were drawing for the first time in a league encounter since the opening day of the 2011-12 season exactly 50 games ago when they were held to a 3-3 draw at Shefford Town & Campton Reserves. Tony Norman and Gareth Boness on the mark for the home side against replies from Craig Gibson and Nick Payne.

Also sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw were Co-op Sports at home to AFC Harlington. William Foe and John Ashman on their scoresheet against a brace in reply from Scott Norman.

Elsewhere, it was a first away win of the season for Kings AFC with a 2-0 victory at Riseley Sports. Chris Greene and Chaz-Lee netting the vital goals.

Division Three

With league leaders Meltis Abion sitting the afternoon out, Stevington moved to within six points of them at the head of the league table by winning 5-1 at Kempston Athletic. Sam King, Tristan Clark, Jordan McMullen, Gavin White and Sam Nightingale all finding the back of the net against a lone home reply from Gary Whitbread.

Still in third spot and unbeaten this season are Westoning who netted a 2-1 home win over Kempston Hammers Sports, Jason Newham netting both goals against a Hammers reply from Sunnie Sandhu.

Also winning on home soil were fourth place Marston Shelton Rovers who took their unbeaten ways up to four games with a 6-5 win over Bedford Panthers. Nathan Evans and Ian Buckingham both with braces supported by strikes from Joe Sames and Dan Parkes against Panthers replies via Gary Philipson and Aaron Perrett with braces of their own plus Tom Wade.

Elsewhere, Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves won for the first time on home soil this season with a 3-0 victory over Clifton Reserves. Alex Ingham, Marcus Ingham and Dan Threadgold the goalscorers. Whilst winning on the road for the first time this season were Kempston Con Club Sports with a 2-1 win at previously 100% at home Elstow Abbey Reserves. Clayton Lawrence and James Coates their marksmen against an Abbey reply via Lewis Atkin.

Meantime, Wilstead Reserves lost their seasons 100% away record when held to a 2-2 draw at AFC Bush. Paul Raymond and Alex Grieve on the home scoresheet against replies from Adam Budek and Hanni Thiarra.

Division Four

There is no change at the head of the division four league table following wins for the top three sides. For league leaders FC Houghton it was a retention of their seasons unbeaten ways with a 3-1 victory at previously 100% at home Clapham Sports. Lawrence Taylor, Shaun Fahy and Lewis Slaughter all finding the back of the net against a lone home reply from James Munro.

Whilst second place Wootton Village remain 100% at home for the season after their 7-0 win over Moggerhanger United. Valiant Mudokwani and Adam Flynn both scoring twice alongside single strikes from Kudzai Madzivanyika, Aiden Medhurst and Matthew Bennett-Cook and third place Meltis Albion Reserves are still 100% on the road this season after winning 3-1 at the previously unbeaten at home Cranfield United Reserves. Dean Cox, Sylvester Mulenga and Craig Damon on their scoresheet against a home reply from Chris Patrickson.

However still retaining their seasons 100% home record were Caldecote A via a 4-0 win over bottom of the table Bedford Park Rangers. Matt Basta with a brace plus strikes from Mark Endersby and Rees Parker doing the damage.

Also winning 4-0 at home were Dinamo Flitwick over Mid Beds Tigers. Michael Bruce-Kirkland and Josh Pearson both netting twice each.

It was also home joy for Atletico Europa and Flitwick Town Reserves. Atletico with goals from Domenico Morgillo and Gary Townsend against a reply from Jake Brown seeing off Shefford Town & Campton Town 2-1 and Town gaining a 3-2 victory over Sandy Reserves. Benn Ward twice and Jim Lewis on their scoresheet against replies from Aaron Seldon and Nicky Albone.
