Bedfordshire League preview: Saturday, November 5

The centre of attention this weekend for the majority of Premier Division supported by Sportsform clubs falls upon action in round two of this season’s Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy. Of the eight clubs taking part, six go head to head with one another. The stand out tie being the Oakley Playing Field clash between hosts Oakley Sports and the visiting Shefford Town & Campton, having netted a league win over The Town boys less than a month ago at the same venue the home side will perhaps start the slight favourites to claim a last eight spot.

Over at Moggerhanger Playing Fields, Blunham could well make home advantage pay when they are visited by AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College, but at Crawley Road perhaps it will be the visitors Caldecote who will start the favourites to progress into the next round when they journey to face The Safari Boys of Woburn.

For the other two Bedfordshire County Football League clubs in cup action, its ties against opposition from other leagues. At Lodge Road, Sharnbrook take on Crawley Green from The Spartan South Midlands League, their visitors having started the season with just one win from their opening 12 league games have suddenly hit form and will come into the tie now unbeaten in their last six outings, five of which have been won to suggest the hosts have a tough task on their hands.
