For third place Renhold United,it’s home Renhold Playing Field action against Biggleswade United Reserves. With the visitors sitting on the bottom of the league table and having lost all of their five trips away from Second Meadow to date this season, the points will be expected to go the way of the home side.

The other live title contenders are of course Caldecote, they head to Steppingley Road on a three game unbeaten away run to face Flitwick Town.Town having only lost their seasons 100% home ways last weekend at the hands of Renhold United.

This weekend also sees Round Three of The Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup taking place. At Miller Road, Bedford Hatters will be taking on The Ewe & Lamb from the Premier Division of the Luton District and South Beds Football League, the visitors currently sitting in the lower half of their league table, thus a Hatters win could well be on the cards.

Our other involvement sees an all Bedfordshire County Football League clash between Marston Shelton Rovers and Potton Wanderers. The Rovers having only lost once on home soil this season seeking revenge for their league defeat at The Wanderers on the opening weekend of this month.

With those cup ties taking place the Division One league action is reduced to just a programme of five fixtures. For local derby lovers, the place to be will be Moggerhanger Playing Fields where Blunham Reserves take on Caldecote Reserves looking for a quick fire double over their near neighbours following their win at Harvey Close just under a month ago.

Over at Hillgrounds, AFC Kempston Town Reserves will be looking to return to winning ways on home soil following two straight defeats when called upon by Bedford Sports Athletic.Whilst just over the hedge in Hillgrounds Public Park, FC Meppershall now on a seven game unbeaten run host Meltis Albion losers of their last three away outings.

In Division Two action, it’s a top against bottom affair at Cutler Hammer where hosts and basement club Kempston Hammers Sports look for their third consecutive home win when called upon by league leaders Arlesey Social Galacticos.

For second place Queens Park Crescents, the action is of a home nature in Mowsbury Park against a Stevington side whose away record to date reads, played four, lost four.

Over at Groveside, its local derby action between hosts Marabese Ceramics and Clifton in a game that could go either way, whilst Bromham United make their way to The Luton Regional Sports Centre to face Stopsley Park. The Park looking in this their sixth home encounter of the campaign for just their second win on home soil against a United side that has lost just once on the road this season.

At King Greoge VI Playing Fields, Kings AFC will be expecting to maintain their recent good run of form and collect the points off of a visiting Lidington United Sports side whose last away win came way back on the opening day of the season some seven games ago.

The final action in this Division taking place at Greenfield Road, the venue for Westoning Recreation Club’s home clash with Harpur FC as they seek their first win on home soil since Mid-September.

In Division Three, the action for runaway league leaders Pavenham is a home Hillgrounds outing against a Westoning Recreation Club Reserves side that has lost its last four away games and thus is unlikely to prevent the league leaders preserving their 100% ways for the season.

Over at Lodge Road, its local derby action between hosts Shanbrook Reserves and Riseley Sports.Sharnbrook looking for win number five on the bounce against a Sportsman’s side that is yet to lose on the road this season.

For Sundon Park Rangers, its a trip to Horseshoes Close to take on a Dunton Reserves outfit that has won just twice on home soil all season from seven outings.Whilst fellow promotion hopefuls Co-op Sports will be in home Solway Road North action against Flitwick Town Reserves.

Other action comes at Harvey Close, the venue for Caldecote A’s home outing against Renhold Village, for The Village, a win is a must if they are going to join in this seasons promotion race.Whilst the same comments apply to Cranfield United Reserves as they head to Hillgrounds to take on a Royal Oak Kempston side that last tasted the scent of victory some six games ago.

In Division Four action the destination for 100% league leaders AFC Turvey, is Mowsbury Park and a meeting with Goldington Hammers. But the game of the day on paper at least in this Division comes at Keysoe Road with the clash between promotion hopefuls Thurleigh and Eastcotts, hosts Thurleigh who are still 100% on home soil this season the slight favourites to collect the spoils.

Also still in the promotion race are Goldington, they face home Mowsbury Park action against bottom of the table Kempston Athletic, the visitors travel looking for their first away win of the campaign.Plus Dinamo Flitwick who head to Whiston Crescent to take on Clifton Reserves. Dinamo in search of away win number four on the bounce against a Clifton side that has failed to win any of its last four home outings.

Also in need of points to climb away from the basement of the league are Sandy Reserves, they host fellow strugglers Bedford Park Rangers at Bedford Road Recreation Ground.Sandy in search of home win number one of the season against a Rangers side that last tasted an away success some six outings ago.

The final game of the day coming at Stewartby Way between hosts Stewartby Village and visitors Potton Town who perhaps will start the day favourites to collect the points on offer.
