Cycling round-up: Fast times at Beds Road Club event
Beds Road Club hosted a 10-mile time-trial on the F15 Brogobrough course on Saturday, with many of the field of almost 100 riders looking for a new personal best.
A trailing wind assisted the riders out as many reached the five-mile turn point in under 10 minutes, before cycling into a 10mph headwind.
Timothy Smith of Welland Cycles triumphed in 20.34mins, closely followed by David Kiernan of Corley Cycles in 20.41mins, while home rider Simon Norman maintained his fine form with a third place finish in exactly 21.00mins.
Peter Gell (Beds Road Club) finished 21st in 22.42mins and Mark Gray (Beds Road Club) 29th in 23.07mins.
