Despite a battling 28 from Saqib Iqbal, Lions were restricted to 94-9 with Essa taking three wickets.

Pakistanis then reached 98-3 and know a win against LU Stars this week would see them win the title.

Luton United Stars are keeping the pressure as they dismissed Luton Majestics for 120 with Shahzad Mohammad claiming outstanding figures of 5-12.

Luton Haiderys hammered 134-6 as they kept their title hopes alive by restricting Luton Hawks to 116-6 to claim a vital win.

Shaheen CC remain top of Division One as they pushed Kingsway CC towards the brink of relegation.

Kingsway batted first and posted 120-5 thanks to Navid Afzal (36) and Zahid Khan (35), but Shaheen coasted to victory thanks to Uvi (42) and Ehtisham Dar (25).

Luton Saracens remain second as they claimed a comfortable win against AKCC who could only manage to post 99-7.

Saracens knocked off the runs with ease as Rahim Sahil top scored with 43, leading his team to 102-3.

Luton Eagles claimed a much-needed two-wicket win against Luton Cricketers as they kept their promotion bid firmly alive.

Batting first, Cricketers managed 110-7 but then had Eagles in trouble with some early wickets before Anwar Ahmed blasted 39 to take his side to 114-8.

Kashmir Cavaliers secured an important win against Alpha CC who could only manage 95-7 with Kamran Bashir claiming 4-12.

Cavaliers made light work of the target as Bashir (25) also starred with the bat in his side’s 96-3.

AKXI dented Accident Specialists’ promotion hopes by claiming a hard-fought win.

Sanid Ali bowled brilliantly to take four wickets in Accident’s 93-9, a target AKXI just about reached, making 94-8.
