It saw Blunham add the trophy to the East Beds Shield - and they currently lead the Beds County League Premier Division.

In the final the hosts made a good start as openers Milin Ghandi and Jordan Cleghorn put on 58 in seven overs.

The introduction of Goldsmith changed the game. His tight off-spin strangulated Ickwell . He finished with 3-16 from his four overs and Michael Pickard finished the innings with a hat-trick.

Ickwell stumbled to a below-par 104-9 and Blunham’s opening pair of Kanchana Rodrigo and Darryl Hendricks rammed home their advantage with a partnership of 76 from the first nine overs.

And, although two late wickets were lost, Blunham romped home.
