Blowers and Lashings head to Southill Park

Some of the biggest names in cricket will arrive in Chronicle Country this week.

The famous Lashings All Stars XI will arrive at the picturesque venue of Southill Park on Thursday, June 23 for a special game.

They will take on The High Sheriff’s XI to raise funds for the High Sheriff’s charity Crimebeat.

Lashings Legends scheduled to appear will include Herschelle Gibbs, Saqlain Mushtaq, Gordon Greenidge, Geraint Jones, and special guest, the legendary radio Test Match Special commentator Henry ‘Blowers’ Blofeld.

Gates open to the public at 12.30pm and the match starts at 3pm. Entry is £6, £10 including a programme.

>> The rearranged Butcher Shield challenge between Blunham and Southill Park at Ickwell is due to be played on Tuesday, June 21 at 6pm.
