Bedfordshire make three changes for Cambridgeshire clash

BEDFORDSHIRE have made three changes to their side for the Eastern Division clash with Cambridgeshire at Bedford Modern School starting on Sunday.

In come Chris Esh, George Bacon and Oliver Swann to replace Will Sneath, Martin Weightman and Dan Simpson.

Esh will provide a natural balance to the bowling attack with his off spin after Beds started their clash against Cumberland with four seamers.

Bacon, 18, has been playing for Nottinghamshire seconds this season, and took 1-25 in the recent Second Eleven Championship victory over MCC University at Leeds.

Swann has also been a regular for the Trent Bridge second team, but featured for Unicorns A in their 81-run win over England U19s recently, where he made 25.

With Simpson missing, George Thurstance will move up to open alongside James Kettleborough.

Second-placed Cambridgeshire approach the match full of confidence as they completed a remarkable turnaround victory over Lincolnshire last time out.

Trailing by 117 in the first innings, Cambs were then set over 300 to win, which they managed for the loss of seven wickets.
