Bedfordshire Buck up with great win over neighbours

HAVING defeated Warwickshire last time out Bedfordshire U11s claimed a 35-run victory over Buckinghamshire at Blunham CC on Wednesday.

With uncertain overhead conditions and a sporting pitch it was a brave decision for Beds skipper Rahul Sheemar to elect to bat after winning the toss.

The Bucks opening bowlers made scoring difficult for Fayaz Ahmed and Sheemar and an early chance saw Sheemar put down as the pair made 50 before Ahmed, after hitting three fours in a row, found the fielder at midwicket.
