Convincing win for Bedfordshire youth pool team

Bedfordshire’s youth pool team warmed up for the National Pool Championships next month with a convincing 31–13 win against last year’s runners-up Suffolk.

Man of the Match Callum Flecknell (Luton) won four from four after qualifying for the England team and England team-mates Josh Riddaway (Greenfield) and James Molloy (Dunstable) produced solid performances.

All three now venture to the European Championships in Blackpool at the end of the week.

Other notable displays came from Josh Smith (Luton) and Jake Baldwin (Houghton Regis) who both won three out of four for the first time as Beds look to go one better than the runners-up position they achieved at last year’s National Championships in Yarmouth later this month.
