Beds move to the top

The Bedfordshire County Pool Association’s Youth Team stormed back to the top of the Region Four Junior Inter County 2012 with a 31-13 home win over Essex.

Josh Riddaway (Greenfield), who is making his England debut this Sunday in Cheltenham, has gone back to the top of the singles rankings, with Joel Riddaway, Callum Flecknell (Luton), James Molloy, (Dunstable), M-Jaye Waller (Luton) and Adam Toms (Brogborough) also well placed to make England trials. He has also been named as part of the six-man squad playing for England in the European Championships in February.

Earlier this month, Beds gained revenge for their only defeat since 2010 by beating Suffolk 27-17.
