A week dedicated to celebrating Bedford’s many cultures was topped off with a Zulu performance.
Goldington Green Academy has been hosting its Multicutural Week for around 11 years now.
Equality and diversity manager Tracy Wilson said: “It is a good way to celebrate the cultural diversity in our school.
“It is also preparing the children for living in a multi-cultural society and valuing different cultures and the strengths they bring.”
On the last day of the special week, children could dress up in costumes from around the world.
The visit from the Mighty Zulu Nation Theatre - made up of a cast originating from South Africa - was much anticipated and is always a hit with children and teachers.
Mrs Wilson said: “They got 10 out of 10 on evaluation forms. The children said they want the Zulus in school everyday.”
Other activities during the themed week included A day in Ghana, Brazilian drumming, Polish culture and a cheerleading workshop.
