As the temperatures continue to drop, Bedford Borough Council has announced it will grit the roads a little earlier today.
In a tweet, the council said: "Full gritting run at 15:00 (3pm) today.
"It will continue to be windy and very cool with the chance of a few spots of rain.
"Road surface temperatures are expected to drop below zero in places tonight as clear periods develop."
