Gritters out in force in Bedfordshire this evening as sleet and snow expected

This afternoon, it's expected they'll be a mix of sunshine and showers, some of which may be wintry, with hail and sleet.

By the early evening it will dry, with clear spells, turning colder.

Overnight, there will be cloud and rain with some snow, though it is looking like this will be mainly on the hills.

And tomorrow morning, there should be clouds with some outbreaks of sleet and snow.
