A team of intrepid amateur cyclists are stepping up a gear as they prepare to cycle to Paris on Sunday (May 10) in aid of Bedford Daycare Hospice. Bedford mayor Dave Hodgson will see them off on their endurance adventure which they hope will raise £10,000 for the charity.
Organiser Jos Daalhuizen said: “This mammoth bike ride is going to be an epic challenge for all of us but knowing that we are helping the Hospice makes it all worthwhile. “It will keep us going in the dark hours when we are aching and tired.”
Hospice spokeswoman Barbara Burnett said: “We’ll be thinking of them every mile they travel.” For more details or to sponsor them visit www.justgiving.com/teams/BDCH-Cycling-Team
