A day of free STEM workshops, activities, demonstrations and challenges is being hosted by BedPop as part of British Science Week.

BedPop spokeswoman Erica Roffe said: “From circuit building to Lego Robot Wars, engineering challenges to 3D design, there will be loads of activities to encourage visitors of all ages to discover their inner scientist.”

Among the events being held at Bedford Central Library and The Higgins is drone flying, maths and K-Nex rocket car workshops, brewing demos and an explosive experiment with cola and mints.

The BedPop Science Lab takes place during Access Week. A choir, incorporating sign language, will perform a musical Periodic Table, while Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will demonstrate their dogs’ abilities.

For a full timetable and booking details for the events on Saturday. March 12, go to www.bedpop.co.uk/bedpop-science-lab-2016
