Treasure Quest sets guiding world on heritage trail around Wrest Park

Rainbows, guides and brownies will be celebrating a new partnership between Girlguiding Bedfordshire and Wrest Park in Silsoe.

They will be able to take part in a specially devised Treasure Quest set in the beautiful grounds of the English Heritage park when it launches on March 19.

The quest will consist of two elements, a treasure quest and an environmental quest, and a newly designed badge will be awarded.

Ann Crome, Girlguiding Bedfordshire County Commissioner said: “We were delighted to work with the team at Wrest Park on this project and it is marvellous that the partnership has come together. It is a unique opportunity for our members to explore a historic gem located right on their door step.”

English Heritage General Manager Jenny Mayer said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Guides, Brownies and Rainbows to our historic garden and we hope they have lots of fun on our specially designed Treasure Quest. We’ve really enjoyed working with Girlguiding Bedfordshire to create this unique offer and look forward to continuing to develop the relationship to offer the girls a chance to connect with local history on their doorstep.”
