Shakespeare Road in Bedford closed both ways after car crashes into telegraph pole

Drivers are being told to avoid Shakespeare Road after a car crashed into a telegraph pole earlier today (Monday).

Fire crews made sure the vehicle and hanging wires were safe before leaving the scene with police.

The road is currently closed both ways and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

No-one was trapped in the car.
