Motorists warned of A421 closure between Bedford and Milton Keynes
Central Bedfordshire Council is reminding motorists that the A421 will be closed for two nights next week.

The A421 will be closed from the Eagle Farm Roundabout up to M1 Junction 13, from 8pm on Thursday, August 20, until 6am the next day, and from 8pm on Friday, August 21, until 6am the next day.
The overnight closures will allow the council to undertake surfacing works and street lighting.

Hide AdDrivers will be told to use either the M1 between Junction 13 and Junction 14 as an alternative route.
Alternatively, there is a diversion route in place, this route avoids villages and goes via the A421 Bedford Western Bypass and then the A422 towards Milton Keynes.
The closure is part of ongoing work to convert the A421 into a full dual-carriageway between the M1 at J13 and Milton Keynes.
