Gritters to hit Bedfordshire tonight as temperatures plummet

As the temperatures are expected to drop to freezing tonight, Central Bedfordshire Council has announced it will grit the roads tonight.

A spokesman for the council said: "Please take care when driving tonight, leave a little extra distance behind our gritting lorries and don't be tempted to overtake us."
