Train bosses say problems on the line between Bedford and Bletchley are likely to keep the line blocked all day Friday (February 29).

Faulty barriers at a level crossing near Stewartby means trains cannot run along all of the 16-mile route.

Train operators London Northwestern are running a shuttle service between Bletchley and Ridgmont and arranging mini-buses for passengers to complete journeys to and from Bedford.

National Rail engineers are working to fix the problem. But a spokesman for LNWR said: "Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Friday."
