Traffic misery after A421 crash and road is expected to be closed for several hours
The A421 westbound remains closed following a serious road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
The road is closed between the A600 junction for Shortstown and the A6 junction for Wilstead, and is likely to remain closed for several hours while investigations are carried out.
Police are not releasing specific details about the accident at this stage as officers are still in the process of establishing the circumstances of the incident.
Casualty details are also not being released at this time.
Anyone who was driving along that stretch of road between 5.30am and 6.10am are asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 025 of September 22, 2015.
