Three people injured after collision involving pedestrians in Bedford

Three people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Bedfordshire this afternoon (August 9).

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) was called at 1.51pm to Coniston Road, Flitwick, to a report of a collision between a car and two pedestrians.

Three ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer, and Magpas air ambulance were dispatched.

They treated a woman, believed to be in her 40s, who had suffered a serious head injury.

She was taken Luton and Dunstable Hospital in a stable condition by an ambulance.

The second pedestrian had suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bedford Hospital South Wing for further treatment.

A man, who was in the car, was taken to Bedford Hospital South Wing.
