At just two years and 10 months old little Chloe Cox has ranked the highest fundraiser of all the local Water Babies taking part in a splashathon.
Chloe, of Bedford, joined her class for the fun sponsored aqua activities, which included swimming through hoops underwater and splashing their parents with their feet.
Nationally, the swimming group has raised £806,477 for the charity over just two months, bringing the full amount raised this year to more than £2million.
Chloe’s mum Louise Cox said: “We’re so proud of Chloe – it was lots of fun to do special activities in her class and everyone joined in and made it a great day.
“Chloe absolutely loves her swimming and has come on so well from her first lesson as a 10 week old baby.
“I am very proud of how confident she now is in the water and that she has been able to earn her grade 1 swimming badge at the age of two.
“Tommy’s is a really special charity to fundraise for and we’re grateful to everyone who donated. We even heard of one class where a group of Dads turned up in tutu’s for the lesson and I think that’s a reflection of the great attitude and atmosphere that we all have in our Water Babies classes.”
Donations can still be made to the charity at www.justgiving.com/WaterBabiesSplashathon2015 or text WBHO50 with the amount you would like to donate e.g. £10 to 70070.
