The official opening of three major retailers has marked the completion of the second phase of Bedford’s Interchange Park.
An M&S Foodhall, Costa Coffee and car dealership Motorvogue Group have opened their doors.
The retailers join hardware store B&Q, which moved in during phase one of the Ampthill Road development back in 2013.
William Jewson, development director at site owners Howard Group, said: “The addition of Costa, M&S and Motorvogue shows significant investment in Bedford. It has opened up jobs and reinforced growth plans for the region, something that Bedford Borough Council has been very supportive of.
“We are now seeking occupiers for the final phase and hope to be on site developing this in 2016.”
The Costa Drive Thru’ has created 15 to 20 jobs, while the Foodhall, the first of its kind in the area, has created 60 new jobs.
Six premium car brands are represented at the new Motorvogue Group showroom - Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, SEAT, Fiat and Abarth marques - including both new and pre-owned vehicles.
Car dealership managing director Jon Pochin said: The move to Bedford is part of our significant growth plans.
“The facility is among the best in Europe. We look forward to welcoming the drivers of Bedfordshire to our site.”
