Wilstead Players will be presenting a selection of short plays adapted from the stories by the brothers Grimm on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8.
The group will be performing some of the well known plays – with Hansel and Gretel perhaps the most famous.
Ashputtel is the story of a young girl made to sit amongst the ashes and this is the story we know better as Cinderella. The other stories have a tale to tell often with a moral.
The plays will be performed by a mixed cast of adults and children. The players say that the original dark nature of these stories means they are not considered suitable for very young children.
There will be matinee performances at 2.30pm on both days and an evening performance at 7.30pm on Saturday.
Tickets are available price £7.50 for adults and £4 for children, from the box office on 01234 740782.
A family ticket for two adults and two children is also available priced at £20.
