Big-hearted employees at energy company E.ON are celebrating after helping to raise more than £260,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity over the last two years, writes Brad Hirons.
Wendy Smith, who works in customer service at the company’s Caxton Road office, is a charity champion for the company. She said: “So many people have contributed to our fundraising efforts over the past couple of years in their own way, whether that’s by running a marathon at the weekend, baking cakes to sell around the office or taking part in a sporting sweepstake. I’m delighted and very proud to know that together we’ve helped make a significant contribution to funding the great work carried out by Teenage Cancer Trust.”
The Teenage Cancer Trust was named as E.ON’s official charity in 2014 and since then colleagues across the country have been busy fundraising, and money is still coming in.
