Moss, 41, had been travelling on the new Easyjet route from Bodrum in Turkey.

One person on board the same flight described the behaviour as “horrendous”. Police were waiting when the plane landed at around 4.30pm.

A Beds Police spokesman said: ““We were called to assist staff in escorting a passenger from a flight arriving into Luton airport this afternoon. The passenger had been reported as being disruptive on the flight.

“Officers attended and escorted the passenger from the plane. No formal complaints were made against her and she was not arrested.”

The incident saw Moss trending on Twitter, with many people commenting they had never expected to see Kate Moss, easyjet and Luton in the same sentence.
