The team at a Bedford car dealership have taken part in a fancy dress fundraiser in aid of Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
Customers at the Vauxhall dealership of Evans Halshaw on Barkers Lane were greeted by a handful of superheroes and cartoon favourites, including Spiderman, Wonder Woman, the Flintstone and Igglepiggle, who spread the message about the hospice and raised £265.
Stuart Mclean, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Bedford, said: “We are extremely grateful for the money that was donated by customers and our own team throughout the day. As we are quite a small team, collecting £265 is something we are very proud of and to know that it will all be going towards such an amazing cause, we couldn’t be more pleased. We all had lots of fun on the day and it was great to see everyone go the extra mile with their costumes, even if we did get some funny looks on the way into work!”
Rainbows Children’s Hospice has been helping to support terminally ill children and young people as well as their families since 1994. Its incredible team helps to keep the children as comfortable as possible, improve their quality of life and help support their parents and siblings throughout their child’s life.
