Careers, finance and fun were on the curriculum for Goldington Academy Year 7 and 8 students who took part in an enterprise day.
Combining financial life skills with teamwork and creativity, students were taught how to budget, save, ‘get the job’ in an interview style role play and then sharpened their creativity skills by producing an innovative board game. Led by Nicola Healy from Enterprise UK, and with lots of prizes up for grabs, the event proved to be a fun-filled, competitive experience which all students enjoyed.
The event was summed up by Sofia, year 8, who said: “I really enjoyed doing the careers and enterprise workshop as I learnt lots of new skills that I can use in my future life, as well as being really fun to do with my friends.” For more
