St John's take trophy home

Talented footballers at St John's Special School and College in Kempston have been crowned champions of the 2016 Ability Counts SEN School League.

Chiltern Special School, Bedford and St John’s were among the six teams taking part from the area.

The last game of the day became something of a cup final as St John’s faced Weatherfield Academy, Dunstable.

The Bedfordshire FA staff joined players and teachers pitch side to watch

the spectacle unfold and the finale was a perfect example of the quality and attitude demonstrated all year round.

Eventually St John’s held on to be crowned champions of 2016 and made the most of the occasion with their celebrations, and are pictured.
