St George and The Dragon scarecrow wins the day with garden centre customers
It was a winning tale of St George and The Dragon at the scarecrow
competition run at Milton Ernest Garden Centre.
Twelve schools entered the fun contest, and among designs were the Queen and her corgis, Tim Peake and traditional scarecrows.
Garden centre customers were the judges and 800 votes were cast. The winners are Pinchmill Lower School, Felmersham, with their St George and the Dragon scarecrow, a very impressive design which involved all the children at the school. They have won a £100 garden centre voucher.
