StageWrite 2015 brings another four-day festival combining new writing, live theatre and the chance to help shape the scripts.
StageWrite, now in its third year, is running at The Place Theatre, Bradgate Road, Bedford, from Wednesday, March 11 until Saturday, March 14, beginning each evening at 7.30pm. It is produced by Bedford-based companies No Loss Productions and LifeBox Theatre, with a number of the scripts written by local authors.
Each of the pieces is a work-in-progress, and audiences will be asked to give feedback to help the writers develop their scripts.
Two performances will take place each evening and will be followed by question-and-answer sessions with the writers, directors and actors. This year the event welcomes Andy Maddock, Off West End Nominee, who will be performing his latest ‘Me Play’, Cyprus Sunsets. Having submitted work each year Andy says of StageWrite: “I wouldn’t be achieving what I’m doing in theatre without the confidence the initial StageWrite gave me and I know it has that power to do the same over and over again with a whole set of new writers.”
Tickets are £7, £6 for concessions, or buy a £20 festival pass for all four nights.
