Seven people arrested after Bedford drugs raid

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following raids at homes in Caldwell Street, Hurst Grove and Richbell Court in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday July 20).

Six men and one woman have been arrested and taken to Kempston Police Station for questioning.

Police officers who attended the raid were accompanied by firearms officers.

Detective Inspector Dani Bailey, said: “Earlier on today we deployed a number of officers to three different addresses as part of an investigation into drugs offences. Drugs have a serious and sometimes devastating impact on people’s lives, which is why we are committed to tackling the issue within our communities.”
