Chart-toppers Scouting for Girls complete the line-up at this summer’s AmpRocks.
Ampthill Festival made the announcement for the Charles Wells sponsored music event on Friday, July 3.
Over the course of three sparkling, Top 10 albums Scouting For Girls have made the journey from playing pubs in Harrow and Ruislip to headlining Wembley Arena and now they are playing AmpRocks.
They are made up of three friends who followed their dream, stole the hearts of a nation and sold two million records along the way.
Everybody Wants To Be On TV soared into the British top two, This Ain’t A Love Song gave them their first Number 1 single and by 2011 they were headlining Wembley.
2011’s The Light Between Us made it three out of three Top 10 albums as Scouting For Girls evolved into a national institution.
AmpRocks Chairman, Ian Scarr, remarked: “We have been flirting with Scouting For Girls for a couple of years now and this year we could make it happen. They complete the line-up for AmpRocks which is now the strongest we have ever put on.”
He added: “We can’t wait now for Razorlight, Scouting For Girls and the Cuban Brothers to rock Ampthill’s socks off at the best value festival in the region.”
Saturday’s 4th of July Ampthill Park PROM’s have Royal Academy graduate Rebecca Bottone and Chas & Dave close the Festival’s Gala Day on Sunday, July 5.
