Fans of the Ampthill Proms can save money on tickets by taking advantage of an earlybird price.

A limited number of tickets went on sale today, Thursday, February 12, at 10am for the event which forms part of the three-day Ampthill Festival.

Proms organisors have announced Bedfordshire-born Royal Academy of Music graduate Rebecca Bottone has confirmed she will perform at the July 4 concert, which will have an American Independence Day theme.

Proms chair Yvonne Young said: “It is a huge day of celebration across the Atlantic - and we wanted to bring some of that colour to Bedfordshire.

“Some of the finest Stateside talents, such as Gershwin and Sinatra, will be honoured and in Rebecca we have a truly magnificent star who has performed at the Royal Opera House and, indeed, around the world.”

Tickets for the event, in Ampthill Park, cost £12 (plus booking fee) with the earlybird discount, at
