From the rubble and dust left after a car crashed into its shop front a hairdressing salon has risen again with a fresh look.

Disaster struck Lorna’s Salon, in High Street, Sharnbrook, last year when it was left with a gaping hole in the front of the building last autumn.

Owner Lorna Brawn said fortunately no-one was hurt in the incident. “It was lucky that no-one was having their hair washed at the time as the sink collapsed along with the wall.

“But now everything has been refitted and replaced, and I would like to thank all our customers for sticking by us throughout the clear up.”

Stylist Kym Birnie and Saturday-Girl Holly worked hard to help Lorna keep the doors open for her loyal customers during the refurbishment.

She said: “We dusted ourselves down and carried on in style!”
