Tim Davies, who works in Bedford, is pedalling from London to Paris in aid of UNICEF at the end of June and is holding an evening fundraiser in Pavenham before he goes.

The members of Out-take will be taking to the stage for the fundraising ‘send-off’ gig at Pavenham village hall on Saturday, June 6, and are appearing for free.

The audience can enjoy American-style food and there will be a licensed bar.

Tim said: “There are children all over the world, including close to our own doorsteps, who need our help. While most of us enjoy living out our lives of relative peace and freedom there are children in our country and all across the world who are paying the real costs of evil choices made by the grown ups. Child trafficking is just one issue that Unicef is trying to tackle, and more than any other organisation in the world it does this on both a global and local scale, working with governments to coordinate standards, laws, policies and practices and setting up services to help exploited children and their families.”

The send-off evening will include American-style food, a quiz, and a licensed bar. The fun starts at 7.30pm and runs until midnight. Tickets, available from Tim, will be £10. Visit www.unicef-ride.eu
