It’s panto time in Flitwick - oh yes it is - and this show will help raise funds for schoolchildren.
A host of enthusiastic amateurs have been busy rehearsing for the run of performances which take to the stage at Flitwick village hall from this weekend.
The Flitwick Lower School Association presents Robin Hood - The Pantomime from Saturday, January 17 with shows running during the following week.
Written, directed, produced and starring parents, teachers, children and friends of Flitwick Lower School, the shows promise much fun and merriment - and of course, plenty of audience participation.
As well as the fun filled show, with sound effects and lighting - including the use of strobe lights - there will be refreshments too.
A spokesman for the panto said: “Enjoy yourself with a little sing song to make your show even more interactive. All proceeds go back into the school for reinvestment into the children’s education.
“We are a group of amateurs who put on a panto every year to raise funds for Flitwick Lower School, and many local people take part and local businesses sponsor this massive fundraiser. Last year we raised around £4000.”
Performances run on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, both at 3pm.
They then continue on Thursday, January 22 to Saturday, January 24 with shows at 7.30pm, with a matinee on the last day at 2.30pm.
Ticket prices for all shows are adults £7, children £4, OAP £6, family tickets (two adults, two children) £20.
