Students and staff at Redborne School in Ampthill are celebrating another excellent set of A level results.
A total of 56 per cent of the students at the comprehensive achieved A star to B grades - beating many private and grammar schools.
There was a 100 per cent A to E pass rate with 79 per cent of the students achieving A star to C grades.
Four students have managed to secure university places at Oxford and Cambridge while a fifth is to study medicine.
Erin Barnard who is to study Music at Cambridge;
Michael Ita, who is to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge;
Oliver Howe, who is to study Economics at Oxford;
Conor Williets, who is to study Engineering at Oxford and Will Smith who will study Medicine at the univeristy of East Anglia.
Principal, Nigel Croft, said: “These are another excellent set of results at Redborne. They put us in the top ten per cent of schools in the country for Value Added performance for our students. Our results beat many fee-paying and grammar schools.”
