Professor heads to Bournemouth

A RESEARCH expert in cryobiology will be saying goodbye to the University of Bedfordshire after 20 years.

Professor Tiantian Zhang will be leaving in January to become the new head of the graduate school at Bournemouth University.

Tiantian said: “I am thrilled about this opportunity. Student experience is at the heart of everything we do and I am very passionate about it.”

Tiantian first came to the University in 1991 when it was the Luton College of Higher Education, and was the first student of the University of Luton to be awarded a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy).

Cryobiology is the study of life at low temperatures.
