The election for the Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) will take place on Thursday 7 May 2020.
PCCs are elected to make sure police meet the needs of the community effectively. And they are responsible for the budget that is raised from the local policing precept via council tax.

Hide AdThe last date to register to be able to vote is April 21. If you are already registered to vote you do not need to do so again and you'll receive your poll card from April 3.


But if you have never registered to vote or have recently moved the quickest way to register is online hereIf you receive a green poll card this means you have a postal vote. The postal ballot pack will be sent to you from April 14 and if you are likely to be away on May 7, you can consider applying for an absent vote.
The deadline for you to send your postal vote application is by 5pm on Wednesday, April 22.
Alternatively, you can apply for a proxy to vote on your behalf at your allocated polling station. The deadline for you to send your application is by 5pm on Wednesday, April 29.
