Detailed plans for 294 new homes in Biddenham go to council

Developers have submitted detailed plans for the next phase of a housing development in Biddenham.
David Wilson Homes is seeking Reserved Matters approval for 294 new homes, completing the parcel’s remaining allocation.
The northern part of the parcel, containing 296 homes, was approved in 2022 and is currently being built by Davidsons Homes.
The 2014 outline planning permission limits the development, called Land Parcel 3, to 594 dwellings.
The applicants state that the new submission provides the “remaining balance”, bringing the combined total across the parcel to 590, which they said is below the outline cap.
According to the Design and Access documents, the proposals include a network of greenways, a central pocket park, and a combined LEAP/NEAP “Super NEAP” play area.
Footway and cycle routes are planned along the main street and through landscaped open spaces. Homes would be a mix of apartments and houses ranging from two to three storeys.
The principle of development was fixed at outline stage; this application concerns layout, scale, appearance, landscaping and access details.
More information can be found on the council’s planning portal, reference 25/01906/MAR. The overall consultation expiry date is Thursday, December 11, 2025.
