Police rule out severed head find linked to Natalie Hemming murder
Police investigating the discovery of a severed human head that came from a building site in Sharnbrook have ruled out a link to missing mum Natalie Hemming.
The body part was found on Monday at a quarry in Ely, Cambridgeshire, which is 40 miles away. But it is believed it was transported in landfill from the Sharnbrook site, where a Network Rail project is taking place. Police are still searching for other body parts.
A post mortem yesterday could not conclusively reveal whether the head was male or female. But experts say the death took place at least 14 months ago. Natalie has been missing since May 1 from her Milton Keynes home and her partner has been charged with murder.
