Pre-works are beginning as part of plans to improve Flitwick train station with the demolition of a kebab shop at the site.

Nearly £5 million of funding from Central Bedfordshire Council and South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) will be invested into the interchange - and construction starts later in the summer.

The building is expected to be demolished by Friday (June 4) and the car park will unavailable during this time.
