Who is the best grandparent in Bedfordshire?

Have you missed your grandparents during lockdown? Would you like to show them how much you appreciate them?

Magazine Raring2go! Bedford is launching the Bedfordshire Grandparent of the Year Award, in the hope of spreading joy to families who have been separated during lockdown.

The award will also raise money for charity Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity.

To enter a grandparent into the awards, say in no more than 200 words why they are so special. Include their name and address (they must life in Bedfordshire), and your name and contact details.

The overall winner will be announced at an awards ceremony next year.

Tilly Bartens, the magazine's editor, said: "We are delighted to have our headline sponsor on board but there are still plenty of opportunities for local businesses to get involved in this 'feel good' award that will touch the hearts of many.

"Each month we will seek nominations to find the 'Grandparent of the Month' and then, after 12 months, an overall winner will be chosen by our headline sponsor.
