UPDATE: Bedford has 19 new cases of coronavirus

Today (June 16), Bedford has recorded 19 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 745.

Public Health England figures show that 745 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am Tuesday morning in Bedford, up from 726 the same time on Monday.

There have been four new deaths from coronavirus recorded at Bedford Hospital Trust in the past 24 hours, the latest official figures show.

NHS England figures show 196 people had died in hospital at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust as of 5pm on Monday (June 15).

In Luton, there are no new cases, the total is 806. In Central Bedfordshire, there have been 11 new cases, the total number of cases is 714

In Buckinghamshire, the total is 1,045, Milton Keynes has 513 cases and Hertfordshire has 2,959 cases in total.

The new figures are now recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 298,136. The number of deaths has been recorded as 41,969.
