Following the announcement of the second lockdown, The Higgins Bedford will temporarily close from Thursday (November 5) until at least Wednesday, December 2.

The venue will be getting in touch with anyone who has booked a ticket to visit the museum during this time.

Cllr Doug McMurdo, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said “We were really pleased to be able to reopen The Higgins Bedford earlier this year following the lockdown in spring, opening new exhibitions and displaying more of our fantastic collections.

“The museum will be posting content from its collections on social media throughout this second lockdown, and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can.

“Until then, the council urges everyone to follow the guidance; stay at home, protect the NHS, and save lives.”
